Andrea Jacqueline Leadsom has been elected as the Member of Parliament for the South Northamptonshire constituency, following the General Election held on Thursday, 8 June 2017.

Deadline looms for voter registration

Time is running out for people to register to vote in this year's general election with less than two weeks to go until the application deadline.

Eligible voters who have yet to submit their details for the electoral register only have until 11.59pm on Monday, 22 May to ensure they are included in time to vote in the general election, which takes place on 8 June. Reducing the impact of collecting South Northants rubbish

The cost of running South Northamptonshire Council's (SNC) fleet of refuse and recycling collection vehicles is being reduced, as SNC nears the end of a vehicle replacement programme.

The new refuse and recycling collection vehicles have the highest environmental ratings (Euro 6) which reduce potentially harmful emissions such as Nitrous Oxide (NOx) by 80 per cent compared to the old vehicles they replaced.. Read More »

Bank Holiday bins and opening times

Bin collections remain unaffected this Bank Holiday weekend in the district, however the council offices at The Forum will be closed on Bank holiday Monday.

South Northamptonshire Council's (SNC) office and the library at The Forum will be closed on Monday, 1 May and re-open as normal at 9am on Tuesday, 2 May.
