Council portal puts residents in control

Residents now have the option to receive bills and pay their council tax online following the launch of a Citizens' Portal by South Northamptonshire Council (SNC).

Up till now Council Tax payers were required to print, sign and return direct debit mandates by email or post. They will now be able to complete tasks online at their own convenience.

Roaring success of crisp packet collection point

Nearly 6,000 crisp packets were sent for recycling in the first month of a new collection point at the South Northamptonshire Council (SNC) offices in Towcester.

In May, SNC announced that it had signed up as a collection point for the terracycle initiative which aims to make the 'unrecyclable' recyclable.
