Welsh Rd / Banbury Rd closed 13th-14th February 2018

Northamptonshire Highways have requested to close Banbury Road and Welsh Road on 13-14th February 2018 to enable the safe repair of cat 2 potholes.

Council thanks residents for top-10 recycling rate

Residents in South Northamptonshire are being congratulated after the district was ranked eighth in the country for recycling.

During 2016/17 residents sent 61.4 per cent of their waste for recycling, an increase of 2.4 per cent on the previous year.

The recycling rate also put the district 10 percentage points ahead of any other authority in Northamptonshire.

Householders in South Northamptonshire should make sure they put their bins out on time in the build-up to Christmas as the Boxing Day collections will be moved to the following Saturday.

Any household which is due to have a collection on Tuesday, 26 December should put their bins out on Saturday, 30 December instead.

Spate of fly-tips laced with asbestos near Deanshanger

The taxpayer has been left carrying the cost after a spate of fly-tips along the border of Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire which included harmful asbestos.
