There will be 2-way traffic lights on Wormleighton Road from Monday 5 June to Saturday 1 July. This is in preparation for the new road layout, we will be installing drainage culverts. These will provide effective rainwater management allowing the free flow of water under the new section of road that will be built here.

A green tunnel, or cut-and-cover tunnel, is where a trench is excavated, tunnel structure built, then the land on top of the tunnel is restored so it blends into the landscape. As discussed a few weeks ago, we will be improving the line marking under the temporary bridge of the A361 this weekend. We mentioned previously that this would be either Friday or Saturday evening.

What are we doing?
In the area under the A361 temporary bridge, near Chipping Warden, we will be improving the white line marking for safety reasons.

In order to carry out this work, a full closure of a small section of the A361 will be required for several hours. This will allow staff to enter the central section of the highway and for the line marking paint to fully set.

The A361 will have temporary traffic management in the form of traffic lights at the entrance to the Chipping Warden Compound from Monday 8 August 2022.

The A361 will also have a temporary crossing point installed from Monday 8 August 2022.
